About Us
A comfortable life or a fulfilling life? There was a time this question stared us in the face. The temptation was palpable. But as the cliche goes, you have one life. So the 9-to-5 was packed up and traded for treasured experiences in the outdoors. These are the moments we share with you today at Odati Adventures. Blissful, serene, and as Odati in Sanskrit suggests, refreshing.

Founder & Chief Explorer
My name is Jayesh Morvankar. I like to call myself the chief explorer at Odati Adventures. As a student, I loved books, quantum physics and bicycle rides that doubled up as the perfect excuse to take a break from studies. I pursued engineering and management, worked a whole lot of jobs in sales, advertising and communications. I was set for a successful corporate career; a hike to Harishchandragad changed all that. Nature has its ways and I’ll admit, I was hooked. Then arrived a question that we’ve all faced at some point in our lives. A comfortable life or a fulfilling life? The question stared me in the face.

The Outdoors are Calling
The pull of a summit, the lure of the woods. The call of the outdoors, the one thing that isn’t in our control. It was no different for me after that first hike. And once Odati Adventures was established, I was clear on what we had to offer. For 25 years, we’ve been venturing out on unknown trails, pathfinding, exploring and relishing the adventure. As pioneers, we’ve gone rappelling down hidden waterfalls and canyoning alongside those who’ve looked to push the envelope. We’ve cycled along humid coastlines and up the frigid slopes of the Himalaya. Most times, we’ve come home dusty and exhausted, but with a big smile on our face. This is what the outdoors mean to us, an irresistible space, like a vortex that sucks you right in. Fighting it is a pointless exercise. Instead, embrace it. Pull out the haversack and the peak hat. And let’s go!

“I like it that Odati does not mollycoddle us. We can face the newness of the experience for ourselves, yet there is a calm voice behind us, in the middle of all that silence.”
